Donald Trump praised next secretary of state Rex Tillerson for having vast experience in dealing with foreign governments.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — President-elect Donald Trump praised on Tuesday his pick for the next secretary of state Rex Tillerson for his successful dealings with foreign governments.

Earlier in the day, Trump officially announced that ExxonMobil's CEO Tillerson has been chosen to head the US Department of State.

Russian officials have already welcomed the announcement, with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov saying Kremlin is ready to work with any partners interested in developing equal ties with Russia.
